Kassy + Max I Rodney's Oyster House Wedding
Fun Fact - we love a NYE wedding. In our opinion, it is the perfect time to get all dressed up, sip champagne (when we thirsty) and be in a room with all your favorite people when the new year rings in (also, it allows for a lot of ‘ring’ in the new year puns and hashtags - which, we’re always here for). So, when K+M contacted us for their NYE wedding, we couldn’t wait to be part of it!
We had so much fun with K+M’s wedding design. They were up for some out of the box ideas and had a distinct vision of what they were looking for. We incorporated their love of hip hop into some of the signage (Sit Down, Be Humble might be our favorite seating chart heading), chose darker colors for the palette and featured pampas grass as one of the main florals (including a huge hanging install for the ceremony).
Friends and family traveled from across Canada to join in the celebrations. The day started with a champagne greeting, ended with confetti cannons and in between had laughter, a shotski and dancing (lots of dancing).
The 'We'll-Remember-This-Always' Moment
We had major outfit envy for both K+M. K’s dress was everything - it had great peek-a-boo lace cut outs and such a beautiful flounce sleeve. And if you look closely at M’s tux, you’ll notice that it has a velvet jacket (the perfect choice for a winter wedding!).
The Wrap Up
We loved being able to work with K+M and bring their wedding vision to life. They had such fun design details and weren’t afraid to commit to ideas that were non-traditional. We absolutely loved being part of their day and couldn’t have rang in our new years a better way!
